Barcelona Card 2, 3, 4 or 5 days: the price per day

Per day, the Barcelona Card costs between €15.80 and €19.67 at the regular price. The third day is the most expensive extra charge. We work out when a longer card pays off.

In short: the Barcelona Card costs €39.00 for 2 days, €59.00 for 3, €69.00 for 4 and €79.00 for 5 days at Tiqets (as of 24 Sep 2026). Per day that is €19.50, €19.67, €17.25 and €15.80. The third day costs €20.00 extra, the fourth and fifth €10.00 each. Whether you need the card at all is answered by the Barcelona Card calculator.

The four options at a glance

The issuer sells the card for 2, 3, 4 or 5 days, and in its shop the options are called 48, 72, 96 and 120 hours. We divide the regular card price at the ticket provider Tiqets, where you can book, by the number of days. Children from 4 to 12 pay their own price. The four prices are also on the Barcelona Card prices page.

OptionRegularPer dayChildChild per day
2 days (48 h)€39.00€19.50€27.00€13.50
3 days (72 h)€59.00€19.67€37.00€12.33
4 days (96 h)€69.00€17.25€46.00€11.50
5 days (120 h)€79.00€15.80€54.00€10.80

The 3-day card is more expensive per day than the 2-day card. The 5-day card has the lowest daily price at €15.80. That only helps you, though, if you use the card on each of the five days.

What each additional day costs

More important than the average is the extra charge. The table compares card against no card: without the card you pay for public transport with the Hola Barcelona Travel Card of the same duration (regular price, it is slightly cheaper online). This public transport covers part of the extra charge, and the admissions on that day must make up the rest.

ExtensionBarcelona Card extra chargeHola extra chargeAdmissions must bring
2 to 3 days€20.00€8.60€11.40
3 to 4 days€10.00€8.30€1.70
4 to 5 days€10.00€8.00€2.00
  • The third day pays off with a free admission from €11.40, such as MNAC or Castell de Montjuïc (€12.00 each).
  • Days four and five cost only €1.70 and €2.00 more than the Hola ticket. Even Pedralbes (€5.20) or the Museu Olímpic (€6.30) cover that.
  • If you do not travel at all on one day, the Hola share falls away. Then the admissions have to carry the full extra charge.

Longer or shorter card

If you have already decided on the card, the question is different: extend it or buy a 24-hour Hola ticket for the last day (€12.50)? The third day costs €20.00 extra and then pays off from €7.50 in admissions, for example with CosmoCaixa (€8.00). Days four and five cost €10.00 each, which is less than the €12.50 for the Hola ticket. If you travel on that day, the longer card is cheaper even without any admission.

When the shorter card is enough

If on the third day you only plan Sagrada Família or Park Güell, the card brings nothing there, because neither is on the list of free admissions and discounts. In that case the 2-day card plus a Hola ticket for the third day (€12.50) is cheaper. You can see which free admissions there are on the Barcelona Card attractions page. From how many admissions the card pays off at all is worked out in Is the Barcelona Card worth it?

What exactly counts as a day

According to the issuer's shop, the card is valid for consecutive days and not for 24-hour periods, even though the options there are called 48 to 120 hours. The day of first use therefore counts in full, even if you only start at 15:00. If you use the card early on the first day, you get the most out of it. The older card page barcelonacard.com still mentions 24-hour periods from first use. The terms shown to you at purchase are what counts. The price per day applies in both cases. When comparing with Hola, note that Hola counts hours: if you start in the afternoon, you can use it until the same time on the last day.
